Time has always been an issue, there never seems to be enough but what time I do have I love to spend with family (which includes walking my beloved dogs), cooking, playing cricket badly, watching some sport, pottering around the garden and getting the old tools out to either repair or make something.
As a career, I have been working in the IT industry for over three decades. It all started with building spreadsheets in SuperCalc 4, programming in FoxPro 2.6, then moving onto building my first web application with Visual FoxPro, ASP and Microsoft SQL Server, to now, where I am developing web based solutions with the Yii MVC framework, Linux, Nginx and an assortment of relational databases.
There are many projects I would love to start if it wasn't for the limitation on time. For example;
But there has been one project that has been constantly on my mind over the years and that is to create my own technical blogging website. So here it is. I hope to post a new blog every week and that someone will find this site of use.
